On January 29th, Fresno County youth gathered for a Media Advocacy and Outreach training retreat. Over the last few months, youth have been working on a positive social norms campaign, "The Truth about Us." The retreat provided youth with valuable skills such as engaging the community through effective outreach strategies, how to tell your story to the media, and how to effectively utilize social media channels. Youth also shared ideas with each other around media messages and strategies and discussed future action steps.
