YLAB Meets With Hon. Senator Michael Rubio

The Youth Leadership Advisory Board (YLAB) is a team of young people who devote their time, energy and focus on safe and healthy physical environments. On July 7, 2012, this team met with the Honorable Senator Michael Rubio to discuss some of the projects the youth are currently addressing. These projects include; the Community Transformation Grant (CTG), the Social Host Ordinance and Community Assessments.

The 2012 Youth Leadership Retreat

This summer, Youth Leadership Institute (YLI), hosted the 2012 Youth Leadership Retreat in Oakhurst, California. Youth enjoyed fun packed activities filled with valuable and positive leadership tool that they will be able to apply and reflect in their home, in their school and in their community.

2012 Youth Graduates

YLI's youth-led programs are built on the hard work and determination of young people to better their communities and their own lives. In that spirit, we'd like to salute Dominique Ford and Ana Rangel, both participants in YLI's Sunnyside High FNL Chapter, and 2012 graduates of Sunnyside High School in Fresno, California. Both will start at California State University, Fresno in the fall.
