Youth Leaders Up Close: Roberto Perez

Roberto Perez is a Mexico native and has lived in Fresno, California since the age of 4. Robert has proudly served his community since 2007 through his participation with the Youth Leadership Institute. Through YLI, he campaigned to promote awareness of the Social Host Ordinance and conducted a health assessment of liquor stores in underserved communities. His most recent work with YLI includes facilitating and developing trainings and workshops for the Building Healthy Communities Youth Engagement team. Robert recently graduated from Fresno City College's Design Science High School with a diploma and an AA degree in General Education making him the first of his family to obtain a college degree. Robert plans to transfer to Long Beach State University and join the Aerospace Engineering program. Robert ‘s goal is to become an Aerospace Engineer and work for NASA.
