On February 5, 2010 three youth from the West SALUD Youth Council in Kerman had the opportunity to visit a local farm that will provide a variety of vegetable for the farm stand. The youth sampled taste vegetables and inquired how the vegetables are grown and harvested. During the last few months the youth council members from both communities have been meeting with parents, school administrators and other interested partners in hopes of starting a farm stand at a local elementary school by the end of spring.
