On Saturday, April 21st, Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) hosted the "Distracted Driving Awareness Event" at Boomers in North Fresno. A press conference was held followed by a distracted driving demonstration. Youth members were able to report that, "80 % of all crashes involve driver inattention within 3 seconds of the crash." Community members were able to be a part of this event and receive information on distracted driving.
